Wolverine Welcome Day

Wolverine Welcome Day is the final step in the orientation process for all incoming students each Fall semester.
- Participation is required for new First-Year and Transfer students
- Strongly encouraged for new Graduate Students
The day is designed for you to explore campus, meet your fellow Dearborn Wolverines, and get an introduction to campus life at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

- Undergraduate students are automatically registered to attend
- Graduate students can register
Wolverine Welcome Day is an event you wont want to miss!
Photography and videography will take place at this event. Images may be shared on 蹤獲扦-Dearborns social media, website or other platforms and/or used for marketing purposes. Any attendee may appear in crowd shots of the day. If you do not wish to appear in close up shots, you may notify staff at check-in.

- Connect with over 120 different student organizations
- Visit the Information Desk to get your Mcard & Parking Permit
- Participate in a Volunteer service activity
- Play fun games like putt-putt, human billiards, and giant bowling
- Get a free airbrush tattoo or a caricature drawing
- Pick up your Wolverine Welcome Day T-shirt
- Undergraduate Students: Connect with your START Advisor
- Interact with faculty and staff
- Learn about tutoring, research opportunities, and study abroad
- Attend an info session: These sessions will be a valuable resource as you start your college journey
Available sessions include:
- Office of Student Life - Want to make the most of your college experience? Come learn about all the ways you can get involved on campus! Well talk about the services our office offers, how to join student organizations, and some of our biggest signature events.
- Career Services - What can you do now to be more competitive later? Lets talk about YOU. In this session, identify key experiences that will help leverage your skills and strengths throughout your 蹤獲扦-Dearborn journey and how Career Services can support you!
- Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) - This session will introduce to students several methods of managing the multiple transitions and stressors that accompany these changes. Tips and tricks will be given on how to navigate daily stress and time management using a wellness approach shown to help with student success!
- Dearborn Support - As you embark on your higher education journey we know that there are barriers that may present themself along the way. Dearborn Support is here to help remove those barriers. In this session, we will review the resources available at Dearborn Support, The Student Food Pantry, and the Wolverine Wardrobe. Come join us and learn how the University of Michigan-Dearborn supports students' basic needs!
- Sexual Misconduct Prevention Training (SAPT) - This training is mandatory for all who did not attend an in person orientation session. It will include information about sexual assault, consent, resources available to you, and tools you can use to disrupt and prevent sexual assault and other discriminator harassment.
Food & Snacks
Everyone will receive a food ticket during check-in to receive a plate at the BBQ buffet during the block party.
The buffet will include:
- Choice of a Halal Hamburger, Halal Hot Dog, or Black Bean Burger, and a drink
Other snacks will be available for free throughout the day such as Kona Ice.
Water stations will also be available located around campus.
