Natalie Sampson, PhD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Public Health at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She has served in many leadership roles in the field of environmental health at the local and national level, including with the American Public Health Association, Community Action to Promote Healthy Environments, Environmental Health Research-to-Action, the Michigan Center on Lifestage Environmental Exposures and Disease, and the National Council for Environmental Health and Equity. Dr. Sampson works to democratize environmental health science and policymaking in an effort to improve environmental health for all. She gets to do this work in partnership with brilliant leaders, including longtime community organizers, activists, youth, students, agency partners, educators, and researchers. As a faculty member, she primarily teaches courses on environmental health and community organizing and enjoys engaging in active, practice-based learning with her students throughout Metro Detroit.

Mesut Duran is a Professor of Technology at the College of Education, Health, and Human Services, University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Dr. Duran completed his B.A. at the Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. He received M.Ed. in Microcomputer Applications in Education and Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Ohio University.

Dr. Duran’s teaching and research interest focuses on technology and teacher education. He specializes in and writes about technology integration in teacher preparation programs. He has published numerous articles and book chapters on this topic. Dr. Duran’s scholarly interest also includes conducting research on STEM learning and trends and issues in educational technology. Dr. Duran is the author of two books, Learning Technologies and STEM Learning, both published by Springer.

Lee A. Freeman, Associate Dean Faculty Research and Administration and Associate Professor of Information Systems Management at the University of Michigan–Dearborn. He has a B.A. from The University of Chicago, and he received both his M.B.A. and Ph.D. in Information Systems from Indiana University. His teaching interests include systems analysis and design, information technology strategy, and information technology policy; his primary research interests include online pedagogy, social media analysis, and information technology in sports. He has published over 35 refereed manuscripts in journals and at conferences, including MIS Quarterly, the Communications of the ACM, the Journal of Information Systems Education, and the Communications of the Association for Information Systems, among others. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Information Systems Education.

Dr. Shaffer is an Associate Professor in Early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Education at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in the Department of Education. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she earned her doctorate in Special Education. Dr. Shaffer's research interests span across personnel preparation of professionals in both the educational and medical fields serving young children facing challenges due to systemic societal obstacles, children with disabilities and their families, culturally responsive practices, social-emotional development, challenging behavior, emotional/behavioral disorders, policy issues, and professional development. For over 20 years, Dr. Shaffer has been engaged in teaching (both young children and adults), mentoring, supervising, training, advising, evaluating, develop curriculum, evaluating courses, serving on advisory boards and committees, leading programs, engaging in research, and dissemination.

She has been privileged to work for children and families in various capacities. Dr. Shaffer serves the field as a member of several boards and committees, including The Children's Center for Communication, Autism Alliance of Michigan, Special Education Coalition of Michigan, Early EdU Advisory Council, and the Division for Early Childhood at the national level as the President-elect and other division committees.

Kyongson Park is an assistant professor in the department of education at the College of Education, Health, and Human Services, University of Michigan-Dearborn. She received her Ph.D. in ESL/Second Language Studies program in the department of English from Purdue University, IN and obtained her Master’s degree in the department of Linguistics at Syracuse University, NY. She had another master's degree in the department of Literature at Seoul National University and bachelor's degree in the department of Literature at Ewha Womans University, South Korea. Dr. Park’s research interests include bilingual and English as a Second Language (ESL) education issues, Teacher collaboration(STEM), intercultural communication, and language assessment for linguistically and culturally diverse students. Through her teaching experience, Dr. Park has been teaching pre- and in-service teachers through K-12 teacher education for ESL licensure and TESOL certificate, both in-person and online formats, international teaching assistants at the university level, and K-12 English learners. Her teaching areas include ESL and Bilingual Education, ESL Teaching methods, Literacy and Assessment for English Learners and language and culture in education in online format. Dr. Park actively presents her studies at local and international conferences including TESOL Convention, AAAL, and MITESOL and her work can be found in English for Specific Purposes, The Journal of Studies in International Education, and INTESOL Journal.

Kevin Kobelsky, Ph.D., Department Chair Accounting and Finance and Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. Dr. Kobelsky holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor, an M.B.A. from York University, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine, and previously held appointments at the University of Southern California and Baylor University. He also has nine years of professional experience as a Chartered Accountant (Canada) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor working in the areas of public accounting, internal auditing and business process reengineering.

Dr. Kobelsky joined the faculty in 2011. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in accounting information systems and information systems auditing. He has served the Information Systems section of the American Accounting Association in several roles including acting as the Annual Meeting Section Program Chair. He has also served as Group Vice President of the Special Interest Group for Accounting Information Systems in the Association for Information Systems.

Julie Taylor earned her PhD degree in history from the University of Cambridge. As a professor at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Dr. Taylor conducts research on history education, intercultural education, and arts integration. Certified to teach social science, she led enrichment programming in history, art, and culture at a public secondary school in Detroit for over eight years. Dr. Taylor serves on the editorial boards of national and international journals, including Teaching History: A Journal of Methods. She is a recipient of the university's Distinguished Teaching Award.
