Student Food Pantry

As part of the ÂÜÀòÉç-Dearborn Community, the Student Food Pantry exists to support students on their journey as they work toward achieving their goals. We are committed to increasing access to food as a key to success, by providing assistance to any student in need. All ÂÜÀòÉç-Dearborn students are welcome, and everything is free. Students are welcome to visit up to twice per month.

We have food, freezer items, household supplies, personal hygiene products, and school supplies in stock. Click the button below to find out which products are available.
Our food pantry stock will vary and the list is not always up-to-date, it’s best to visit or email us if you are looking for specific items. We receive new food shipments by the 2nd Monday of each month (available to students the next day).

Food Pantry Eligibility & Hours

Individuals must be a currently enrolled ÂÜÀòÉç-Dearborn student with a M-Card. The ÂÜÀòÉç-Dearborn Student Food Pantry is located inside of Dearborn Support in suite 2130A in the Renick University Center. All University of Michigan Dearborn Students are eligible to use the pantry. As our pantry numbers grow, it helps demonstrate the support needed to help our students. Please bring your ÂÜÀòÉçICH ID card for your first visit. Students are eligible to visit twice a month, just not twice in one day. New and returning clients are welcome during any open hours.

Due to restocking the Food Pantry, Dearborn Support and the Food Pantry will be closed on the second Thursday of every month. 

Please note that our pantry is entirely staffed by dedicated volunteers, as a result the hours may vary unexpectedly.
In an effort to respect the privacy of our shoppers, a limited number of students will be allowed to shop in the pantry at one time. Please bring your M-Card or Client Service Card with you.

Donation & Partnering Information

To keep our pantry stocked, we rely on the generous donations from our university and community.
While all donations are greatly appreciated, we encourage monetary donations are able to have greater impact as the federal government subsidizes the cost of the groceries that Dearborn Support purchases. Monetary donations can increase the purchasing power and reducing additional trips to the store for the donor.
